The "Royal" Nike Air Foamposite One Is Back

Nike is bringing back a beloved classic later this month with the release of the Air Foamposite One "Royal." This OG colorway first hit the shelves in 1997 and was made an icon by NBA star Penny Hardaway.

The Nike Air Foamposite One "Royal" is a head-turner. Its molded Foamposite upper is drenched in a striking "Royal" tone that made waves in the late '90s. Complementing the upper, black nubuck eyestays provide a smooth contrast, giving the sneaker a sleek and sophisticated edge.

Adding further depth to the design, the black laces, tongues, and sockliners contribute to its aggressive aesthetic. Mini-Swoosh logos on the lateral eyestays and the iconic "1-Cent" logo stitched on the heels pay tribute to Penny Hardaway's signature line.

Down below, carbon-fiber shank plates provide stability and support for any fast movement on the court, while the icy, semi-translucent rubber outsole units bring a cool touch to the retro design.

Will you be looking to grab a pair? The Nike Air Foamposite One “Royal” is slated to release on Friday, September 13th, in-store and online at DTLR.com in full-family sizing.
