Bundle up With Timberland’s “40 Below” Super Boot

Timberland is bringing back its famed “40 Below” Super Boot just in time for the winter season. The silhouette – first introduced in 1979 as a way to combat the chilly conditions of the arctic – last hit shelves in 2013 and sold out faster than you could say “Timbs.”

Don’t worry – if you missed the rerelease from nearly a decade ago, you’ll have another chance to grab these historic boots in early November.

In a nod to the original, this release features an exclusive Highway leather upper done in a rich “Hazel” tone. “Highway” refers to a premium tannage, which is inspired by the Krymp Oxide leather used on the original Super Boot. This waterproof boot is then outfitted with a Triple-Bubble collar and anti-slip D-Ring hardware. The tonal base is accented with contrast stitching and the lateral collars are stamped with Timberland’s ubiquitous tree logo.

The premium upper is cemented to rugged Vibram rubber sole units, done in black.

Timberland Taps DTLR for Another Exclusive 6-Inch Boot

Following the success of the recently released 40^th Anniversary 6-Inch Boot, Timberland and DTLR have again joined forces to bring back another coveted 6-Inch Boot from the archive.

This exclusive pair was first released back on Black Friday of 2014 and was limited to just 2,400 pairs. Luckily, if you missed your opportunity to cop them back in the day, you’ll have another shot at acquiring them this November.

Like the original release, this limited-edition 6-Inch Boot comes covered in buttery black nubuck, which is seam-sealed and insulated with PrimaLoft to protect your feet from the elements. From there, reflective 3M hits are added to the ankle collars and laces. Playing off the reflective details, metallic-silver Timberland Tree logos are embossed onto the lateral heels.

The upper is cemented to classic lug rubber soles, which are done in black to match the base.

Timberland Links with DTLR to Commemorate the Lifestyle Retailer’s 40th Anniversary

Today, DTLR is one of the leading sneaker and streetwear retailers in America with over 250 stores in 19 different states, but it wasn’t always that way. The brand first opened its doors in Baltimore in 1982 and quickly gained a reputation for being a purveyor of in-demand footwear styles – it’s been that way ever since. This year marks the 40^th anniversary of DTLR, and to celebrate, the retailer has teamed up with Timberland to rerelease the duo’s exclusive wheat-and-red 6-Inch Boots from 2012.

Initially launched to commemorate DTLR’s 30^th anniversary a decade ago, this limited-edition colorway boasts a premium full-grain nubuck upper done in Timberland’s classic wheat tone. The tonal base is accented with luxe red hits, which dress the laces and padded leather ankle collars. Embossed Timberland Tree logos appear on the lateral heels, completing the upper.

Moving downward, you’ll come across Timberland’s classic lug rubber soles. In a nod to the release’s celebratory nature, DTLR’s 40th-anniversary branding appears on the hangtags, as well as on the boxes.

Our ambassadors, which included ingenious artists in the entertainment industry, have such an innovative appeal that drives their followers in, while exemplifying an immense amount of a prosperity making them destined for greatness. The “First In Their Field” campaign was all about ascending to the top in whatever you chose to focus your vision on and owning that craft. We wanted to focus on more than having commercial success, but rather representing raw talent and always keeping in mind who the clear winner is—you! So, as this campaign resonated with the here and now artists that are so vigorously changing the game, we wanted to span this message across to everyone so we all take that step in being first in our field.

Our campaign ambassadors included a variety of trailblazing artists from the entertainment industry, including Dave East, Mack Wilds, DJ Bobby Trends, Buda (from producer duo Buda and Grandz), Neef Buck, Millyz, and Charlie Heat.
