After successfully partnering with Jordan Brand twice before on the Air Jordan 1 and 5, the Paris-based football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is back again with another Jordan sneaker collaboration. This time, the duo has chosen the Air Jordan 4 as the sneaker of choice. Contrary to their previous collabs, which were were both black, this time around the club decided to produce a light colored color combination that I personally think is incredibly clean. This release has a good chance of ending up in my daily rotation (that is of course if I can get my hands on a pair). Alright, enough with the love affair, let's dive into the sneaker.

Behind the Design

I wouldn’t normally start with the midsole, but when you’re talking about the 4’s, it’s all about the midsole in my opinion, and these midsoles show off a very clean mix of Black, White and Bordeaux. Something about this color combination really makes this pair stand out. The uppers are comprised of premium White tumbled leather and are contrasted by the smooth grey suede toe box which immediately bring back great memories of the Military Blue IV’s. Just above the toe box you’ll find a black woven label with “PANAME” stitched in White which is the popular nickname among youth used for the suburbs of Paris.

As you continue to move up the shoe, the “cage” is also in White with Black backing. Bordeaux is the color of choice for both lace holders with Black used for the ankle extender. The classic Jumpman logo in White with “Flight” underneath in Bordeaux is sewn in via a Black patch on the White tongue that is piped in Bordeaux. Moving to the rear of the shoe, a Black rubber circle features PARIS Saint-Germain and the Jumpman logo in White atop a Bordeaux pull tab.

The Air Jordan 4 Retro PSG drops Saturday, October 5th.

From the looks of it these are on everyone’s radar, so make sure you keep it locked in on our website and social accounts for store locations and raffle information.
