Summer came and went in the blink of an eye. And while it’s sad to see the sunny season end, Jordan Brand is bringing excitement to the forthcoming fall season with the release of the “Midnight Navy” Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.

Slated to land in mid-September, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Midnight Navy" features a cool color palette that is perfect for autumn. The upper is primarily constructed of premium white leather, providing a crisp and clean foundation. Complementing the white base, "Midnight Navy" leather adorns the mudguards, eyestays, ankle-collar flaps, and heel panels, adding a deep contrast that elevates the overall look.

The side-panel Swoosh overlays are crafted in sleek black leather, matching the black leather ankle collar panels. Elsewhere, Nike Air tags on the tongues and the embossed Wings logos on the lateral ankle collar flaps add a touch of heritage and authenticity.

One of the most striking features of this upcoming colorway is the faux-aged "Sail" rubber midsoles. This design choice gives the sneaker a vintage vibe, reminiscent of the original Air Jordan 1 releases from ‘85. The look is rounded off with "Midnight Navy" rubber outsoles, providing traction and durability for everyday wear.

Need a pair? The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Midnight Navy" will be available on Saturday, September 14th, both in-store and online at DTLR.com in full-family sizing.

The sneaker game ebbs and flows, sometimes without rhyme or reason – and that’s especially true of Jordans. One day, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is the talk of the town, and the next, it’s the Air Jordan 4. The Air Jordan 5 Retro is a model that’s been underappreciated as of late, but Jordan Brand will be looking to change that with its latest take on the ‘90s hoops classic.

Dubbed the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Midnight Navy," this upcoming sneaker boasts a striking color scheme that blends classic and contemporary elements. Its upper is primarily drenched in a deep "Midnight Navy" hue. The midfoot panels and toeboxes feature a textured canvas material, while the mudguards and heel panels are crafted from premium suede, providing a rich, luxurious feel.

You'll find the Jumpman logos embroidered on the tongues and heels of the sneakers, while the side panel windows and lower tongues feature smoky, semi-translucent TPU mesh.

Beneath the upper, you'll find white foam midsole units with visible Air cushioning in the heels. Icy, semi-translucent rubber outsoles tie it all together.

Need a pair? The Air Jordan 5 Retro "Midnight Navy" is scheduled to hit the shelves Friday, November 10th in-store and online via DTLR.com. The sneaker will be available in full-family sizing.

Nike is again pulling another colorway out of the classic vault. We’ve already seen the Metallic Silver pair this year and this time it’s the Midnight Navy co.jp edition of the Air Jordan 1. These first released back in 2001 and were just as popular as a release back then as they are today. The upcoming release is almost an identical twin to the 2001 pair with just a few small tweaks.

Midnight Navy suede comprises all of the key overlay elements of this release including the forefoot, laces, ankle collar, and heals. Tumbled White leather is used for the toe box and side panels up to the ankle, underneath the Midnight Navy overlay. The combination of Suede and tumbled leather really gives this release the premium feel and treatment you’d expect from a co.jp release. A Metallic Silver swoosh accents the side along with a Silver wings logo on the ankle collar. As I mentioned before, this release is almost an identical twin with a few small tweaks, and one of those tweaks can be found on the tongue. The original 2001 release featured a Jumpman on the tongue however, this pair highlights the Nike Air logo. Finishing off the pair is a White midsole atop a Midnight Navy sole.

Like I said, there’s as much (if not more) hype for this release as the original back in 2001. Nike and Jordan Brand has been good to us in 2020 and these continue to deliver by using an iconic design, paired with classic colors, and constructed from premium materials.

The Air Jordan 1 CO.JP Midnight Navy release on October 14, 2020, and retail for $170 USD both in stores and online at DTLR.com
