The basketball world is buzzing with excitement as NBA sensation Zion Williamson's latest signature sneaker, the Jordan Zion 3, is set to hit the shelves this month.

The Jordan Zion 3 "Mud, Sweat, and Tears" is an on-court model that combines style and performance. Its design is a nod to Zion Williamson's relentless work ethic, determination, and his proclivity to leave it all on the court. The shoe features a striking "Mint Foam" mesh base, enhanced by blue and red synthetic overlays on both the lateral and medial sides.

The padded tongues are adorned with the iconic Jumpman logo and the Roman numeral "III," signifying the third installment of Zion Williamson's signature line. And on the heels, you'll find Zion Williamson's personal logo.

The sneaker features a drop-in midsole made up of Formula 23 foam, providing excellent cushioning and support for your feet. But the real game-changer here is the Zoom Air pods in the forefoot, which deliver responsive energy return, making it an ideal choice for those quick cuts, explosive jumps, and dynamic plays on the court. "Mint Foam" rubber outsoles complete the look and offer superb traction.

Will you be looking to cop? The Jordan Zion 3 "Mud, Sweat, and Tears" will be available on Wednesday, October 18th, on DTLR.com and DTLR stores.

Imagine the rush you would get if you were to find a pair of original Air Jordans in the basement of a mom-and-pop sneaker shop – that was the inspiration behind the wildly-popular Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago Reimagined” from late last year. And in early 2023, Jordan Brand plans to bring that same concept to another popular Air Jordan model.

Slated to land in early March, the Air Jordan 3 Retro “White Cement Reimagined” takes the OG colorway back to its inception. The sneaker boasts a premium white leather upper with era-appropriate elephant-print overlays at the toeboxes and heels. Hits of hot “Fire Red” land on the sneaker’s lowermost eyestays, tongues, and outsoles.

The vintage aesthetic is brought to life with “yellowed” back tabs (which feature Nike Air branding), eyestays, and portions of the foam midsole units. The sections of the midsoles that aren’t done in that cream color take on a black paint job, like the OG. Additional cushioning is provided by visible Air units in the heels. The colorway is capped off with “Cement Grey,” “Sail,” and “Fire Red” rubber outsole units.

Need a pair? The Air Jordan 3 Retro “White Cement Reimagined” will be available on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on March 11th in full-family sizing.

Every time the word “chores” is spoken aloud, a child rolls their eyes. These small, menial tasks are used as a way to slowly ease kids into adulthood by creating a sense of responsibility, and many children have them. They often involve cleaning, which can range from doing the dishes to taking out the trash, or (my least favorite growing up) cleaning the bedroom.

That last example serves as the inspiration behind Jordan Brand’s latest Air Jordan 4 Retro colorway. Dubbed “French Blue,” this kids-exclusive take comes covered in a range of materials and colors that are used to mimic the haphazardly placed items found in a young person’s living area.

The toeboxes, side panels, and lower heel portions are done in smooth blue leather, which matches the sneaker’s patent leather mudguards. A textured textile material is used for the ankle collar portions – it’s done in white to match the TPU-mesh netting on the side panels and lowermost tongues. The two-toned base is accentuated by the bright yellow uppermost eyelets and red sockliners. As for branding, this release features Jumpman-clad tongue tags and TPU heel panels.

Moving towards the sole, you’ll come across stark white foam midsoles, which house the sneaker’s visible Air units in the heels. Split red-and-white rubber outsoles complete the design.

Start saving your allowances now, because the Air Jordan 4 Retro “French Blue” will be releasing on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on January 7th in grade-school, pre-school, and infant sizing.

https://www.dtlr.com/blogs/the-lifestyle/dropping-soon-air-jordan-1-retro-high-og-taxi 2022-09-19T12:00:00-04:00 2022-10-13T11:43:39-04:00 Dropping Soon: Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Taxi” Alex Mitsiopoulos

The “Taxi” hue has been a part of Jordan Brand’s line ever since the release of the original Air Jordan 12 in 1996. And while it’s often relegated to the model it first appeared on – despite a recent appearance on the Air Jordan 8 – the bright yellow color is making its return on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG later this month.

Done in a familiar black-toe style, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Taxi” boasts a black, white, and “Taxi”-yellow color scheme. The quarter panels are done in a premium white leather, while smooth black leather is used for the mudguards, eyestays, side-panel Swoosh overlays, and ankle collar panels.

The titular “Taxi” tone dresses the leather panels on the toeboxes, heels, and ankle collar flaps. As far as branding goes, the sneaker features debossed Wings logos at the lateral ankle collar flaps, as well as Nike Air–branded tongue tabs.

To finish things off, Jordan Brand opts for white rubber midsole units, which are attached to “Taxi”-colored rubber outsoles.

Don’t sleep – the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Taxi” will be available on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on September 24th. Retail is set at $180.

https://www.dtlr.com/blogs/the-lifestyle/the-air-jordan-3-dark-iris-is-dropping-soon 2022-08-17T12:00:00-04:00 2022-10-13T11:54:45-04:00 The Air Jordan 3 “Dark Iris” is Dropping Soon Alex Mitsiopoulos

Jordan Brand has made a killing flipping their rare player-exclusive colorways into more widely available general releases over the past few years. And that trend is set to continue later this August with the release of the Air Jordan 3 “Dark Iris.”

While not overtly similar, the sneaker does share some characteristics with Kobe Bryant’s Air Jordan 3 P.E., which he famously donned during the 2002-2003 NBA season. That same pair was later remade and given to the basketball superstar’s friends and family in 2016 as part of the Jordan’s 3/8 Retro “Kobe Pack.” The sneaker is often cited as a grail to many sneakerheads due to its design, limited availability, and association to the late-great Kobe Bryant.

So, if you don’t have thousands of dollars laying around to spend on a pair of super-rare kicks, these will be a great alternative.

Like the aforementioned P.E., the Air Jordan 3 “Dark Iris” features a tumbled leather upper done in white. From there, dark “Cement Grey” elephant-print panels are overlayed at the mudguards and heels.

The base is accented with brooding “Dark Iris” accents, which are reminiscent of those found on Kobe’s Air Jordan 3. The tone takes up the heel-side portion of the foam midsole, lowermost and uppermost eyestays, and perforated ankle-collar panels. Branding includes Jumpman logos at both the tongues and TPU heel panels.

To finish the colorway off, Jordan Brand opts for a white foam midsole, and a rubber outsole that features both white and grey portions.

The Air Jordan 3 “Dark Iris” will be available both in-store and on DTLR.com on August 24th in full-family sizing.

With so much going on in the world right now, people are looking for some normalcy and comfort to lift their spirits. While release dates have been moved around and rescheduled, there is no doubt that people have been marking their calendars for the releases they really want. JB started off their 2020 Retro 1 releases with the ’Satin’ Jordan 1 back in January and then brought out the heat during ASW with the Air Jordan 1 Hi 85, New Beginnings Pack and the Women’s UNC to Chicago pair and now they’re picking up right where they left off.

Next up for Jordan Brand is a new summer-ready Air Jordan Retro 1 High in a clean colorway that sneakerheads are geeked about. Court Purple takes over the silhouette in a very OG-Esque color blocking that doesn’t disappoint. While this isn’t the first time Jordan has blessed us with a Court Purple Retro 1, you may remember that back in 2018 they gave us a similar Retro but it came with Purple on the toe-box while this one features a more clean makeup with White on the toe-box and tongue. Now, if you missed out on the first pair you won’t want to miss this next release. This pair features a clean one-two punch of White and Court Purple throughout the upper and sole and is complimented with black detailing on the Wings logo and the Nike Air tab on the tongue. Start Spring in style by breaking out the Air Jordan Retro 1 High OG ‘Court Purple’.

Clean and classic. The "Flint" Retro 13 makes an unforgettable entrance into the Jordan sneaker assembly.

When news broke last year that Jordan Brand would be bringing the Air Jordan Retro 13 ‘Flint’ back for a retail release, Jordan enthusiasts and sneaker lovers went nuts. For a while now, sneakerheads have been begging for another release of the ‘Flint’ 13s and now their prayers are being answered.

Retro 13 Heritage

The sneaker was originally introduced in 1998 and then released again in 2005 and then again in 2010, but this year's pair is true to the OG form with all of the classic details. Back in 2017, it was rumored to re-release once again, but the retro never happened. Now 2020 will mark the fourth time the beloved ‘Flint' Air Jordan 13 has returned, and it's expected to mirror the original with 3M Reflective detailing.

Behind the Design

This sneaker got the ‘Flint’ nickname from the use of Flint Grey suede throughout its midsole, mudguard, and heel, it’s become one of the most popular Jordan’s that’s not in Bulls colors. Now, this year's release mirrors the original pair better than the previous ones with 3M reflective detailing throughout its uppers that pops when a flash hits the shoe. Depending on who you ask, this could be one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Highlights of this classic sneaker include the reflective 3m mesh side panels in Blue which is complimented by Flint Grey suede, and then rounded out with clean White pebbled leather on the toe and tongue. This is one release that you will regret for a long time if you pass upon them.

The Air Jordan 13 Retro "Flint" is available Saturday, 05.30.20 online, and at select DTLR locations.

Back in 2006, Jordan Brand blessed sneakerheads with their first concept of an Air Jordan Package they changed the sneaker landscape forever. The first two-pair package of Air Jordans dropped in January of 2006 and was a tribute to MJ’s greatest moments in his professional career and they were deemed the “Defining Moments Package”. The shoes featured in the packs were the sneakers that were worn by Jordan during the first championship of his two three-peats in 1991 and 1996. The highly coveted pack of the Jordan 6 and Jordan 11 has been touted as two of the best ever but that all depends on who you ask. While these two shoes weren’t exactly like the ones MJ wore during his championship games, Jordan Brand added gold to them respectively in subtle ways to honor the ring and trophy that accompanied the monumental wins.

Now, fourteen years after the original release sneakerheads are getting blessed with a retro of the ever-popular Jordan 6 that came in the Defining Moments Pack. If you’re a true OG who watched Mike win his first championship in 1991 in the ‘Infrared’ 6 then you know how prestigious that sneaker is. The DMP pair isn’t far behind in its importance in sneaker history with its special gold dog tags that referenced the monumental title.

Jordan Brand pulled out all the stops for the 2020 release of the Jordan Retro 6 ‘DMP’ and they are also making sure that everyone in the family is able to get a pair by releasing them in full family sizing. Coming with the OG Gold dog tag matching Black and Gold back this Retro is made to match its original predecessor. The clean color scheme of Black and Metallic gold is the definition of luxurious this pair is just like the OG and features a Black Nubuck upper that is complemented by Metallic Gold on the midsole, heel tab and Jumpman on the tongue. It doesn’t get any better than this. You’ll definitely take your collection up a notch when you add these to your rotation.

The Air Jordan 6 'Defining Moments' is available Saturday, April 18, 2020, online at DTLR.com

https://www.dtlr.com/blogs/the-lifestyle/set-to-drop-air-jordan-retro-1-og-bio-hack 2020-02-09T00:00:00-05:00 2022-10-11T14:15:55-04:00 Set to Drop: Air Jordan Retro 1 OG "Bio Hack" Will Hardison

If you’ve been into sneakers for longer then a decade or you’re just a sneaker history connoisseur in general, you might instantly recall a pair of Nike Air Dunks that the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro OG “Bio Hack” resemble. I’ll spare you the Google search and tell you that they are modeled after the 2005 Nike Air Dunk x Undefeated collaboration.

The Retro 1 OG “Bio Hack” kicks off a stacked Fall 2020 lineup for Jordan Brand by paying tribute to the great city of Tokyo with its mix of pastels, earth tones, and vibrant colors. The throat of the shoe (toe box, tongue, and sock liner) all pay homage to the neon signs found in the capital city of Tokyo. The toe box is almost a Tiffany Blue and is one of the only leather areas of the entire shoe. Bright Yellow is used for the tongue and instead of the standard-issue tongue label for Jordan 1 OG’s, you’ll find a vibrant Nike Air patch that features Racer Pink and Green stitching. The Racer Pink sock liner is the finishing touch to the vibrant color selections.

While the rest of the shoe is colored in more subdued swatches they make up for it in their premium construction. A rich Light Navy suede is used for the lace guards, forefoot swaths, and quarter panels. The Metallic Silver leather Swoosh is hard to overlook and sits atop the Black Suede side panels that then extend back and over the Baroque Brown Suede heels. The iconic Wings logo can be found on the ankle collar stamped in Black. The combination of loud and subtle colors all sit atop a faint Neon Green midsoles with Black soles.

It’s hard to notice at first, but what I personally love about this pair is the stitch work. I’m a big fan of light-colored thread used to stitch darker sneaker components. For example, the white thread used on the Baroque Brown heels of this pair. To me, it gives the shoe a more premium feel.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro OG “Bio Hack” is set to drop September 4, 2020, and retail for $170 USD both in stores and online at DTLR.com
