In 2021, Jordan Brand released a “Bordeaux” Air Jordan 6, inspired by the original Air Jordan 7 colorway of the same name. And later this year, the sportswear brand will flip the script with an upcoming Air Jordan 7 release that pays homage to an OG Air Jordan 6 makeup.

Scheduled to release at the end of June, the forthcoming Air Jordan 7 Retro “White Infrared” pays homage to the original Air Jordan 6 “White/Infrared” from 1991. This version of the Air Jordan 7 features a white leather upper with matching laces. The all-white base is contrasted with black tongues, ankle-collar panels, and pull tabs.

Bright “Crimson” hits steal the show – they appear on the lateral-ankle Jumpman logos, the tongues’ embroidered Air Jordan lettering, and the heels’ “23” TPU badges. Portions of the foam midsole units also take on the bright “Crimson” tone, while the remaining sections are done in white. Icy, semi-translucent rubber outsole units complete the look.

Be on the lookout for the Air Jordan 7 Retro “White Infrared,” slated to release June 30th on DTLR.com and DTLR stores. The retail price is set at $200.

The shoes Michael was wearing that day were the Air Jordan 6 Infrared. Back then the coveted sneaker retailed for $125 and featured a nubuck leather upper, perforated side panel, neoprene sleeve, reflective detailing, and translucent rubber sole. The iconic "Nike Air” on the back was an automatic win for the design back in 1991 and was one attribute that was yearned for to stay the same in this upcoming retro release. Luckily for us, the 2019 pair features the original infrared color and all the features for the most part have stayed the same. The only big difference is the $200 price tag but that probably won’t stop anyone from copping these bad boys.

The Air Jordan Retro 6 "Infrared" are set to release during All-Star Weekend, Saturday, February 16 in Mens and Kids sizes here.
