I started using a camera during my high school film class. Several years later, I switched over to a DSLR and started exploring Miami, setting up portraits and developing a style for myself.
I love that champion is a brand that is still going strong. I’ve seen and worn their clothes clothes since I was a kid, so it’s sort of a nostalgic feeling seeing a lot of people still incorporating the champion brand into their outfits.
I would love to work with Donald Glover. I feel like he is a jack of all trades in the creative world and I would love to pick his brain and witness his process.
My advice would be to find inspiration outside of social media. It’s easy to see what everyone else is doing and fall into a trend that will most likely fade away. I think it’s important to develop your own style and stick with it. That way your work stands out from others.
I feel like the airport is a cool spot because it has a lot of interesting architecture to offer. A few of the shots from the campaign were actually taken there. Surfside is also a pretty cool town. It has the Art Deco vibe of Miami Beach/South Beach but is much quieter and less congested.

After moving to Philadelphia to go to college, I got a part-time job at a sneaker boutique called Ubiq and worked there until I graduated in 2014. I learned so much about sneaker culture and streetwear and fell in love with the lifestyle. I studied Graphic Design and Photography in college, so the planets aligned up with design and streetwear for me. Since then, I have just been trying to be progressive and learn as much as I can about design and fashion.
Champion gives me a nostalgic feeling. For instance, the feeling when you hear a song from the 90’s or early 2000’s that makes you reminisce. I also wore Champion apparel growing up as a kid. It was always comfy and casual. The cost was affordable for my mom so that was a plus and it always looked trendy. I still wear Champion today and it's really cool to see the brand evolve with the times, while staying true to the comfy-casual style they represent.
Basquiat, definitely! He was someone who stayed true to his vision from Day 1. Even when people didn’t think it was good or worthy of gallery space, he changed the way people thought by just being himself. The way he saw things was transcending. Whenever I feel like people don’t understand me or my vision, I just watch The Radiant Child or look through all my Basquiat books. That always reminds me to continue to stay on my own path and continue with my vision. The right people will appreciate what you have to offer the world.
Be proactive and absorb as much knowledge as possible. No one will hand you opportunities. You have to sometimes create your own opportunities. You have to put yourself out of your comfort zone and take calculated risks. Don’t be too careless, but don’t be too careful either. It's always a balance. And stay observant and listen to everyone you meet because you never know who you are talking to or what they have been through/accomplished. You can never learn too much about anything, especially in the creative industry.

Tim is a self taught photographer and graphic designer with a background in audio production. He comes from a long line of creatives and have always had a passion for art.
I’ve always been interested in photography and it the role it’s played in marketing; I started working as a graphic designer for a branding company based out of San Diego, and realized how integral photography was to the process so I decided to learn how to shoot. I bought my first DSLR in May, fell in love with portraiture and haven’t looked back since.
Champion is one those rare timeless brands that transcends social and cultural barriers. I wore a vintage Champion crewneck throughout college, and thought I was so cool because of it. I love that the brand has maintained its status as an essential streetwear staple, from the sneakers to the clothes. It’s both retro and futuristic, which is dope.
My dream creative collaboration would be with Pharrell Williams. I grew up skateboarding and making music and was always blown away by his creative genius. I think he’s a multidimensional visionary and that’s what I aspire to be.
My advice to anyone trying to break into the creative industry is to do what truly makes you happy. Every thing you create won’t resonate with everyone so instead of worrying about pleasing everyone, worry about doing what pleases you. Create your lane and own it!
