First introduced in 2006 as a lifestyle model, the Air Jordan 5 “Olive” marked a departure from tradition, offering a fresh take on the iconic Air Jordan 5 silhouette. Now, nearly two decades later, it's making a triumphant return, ready to captivate a new generation of sneaker connoisseurs.

The “Olive” Air Jordan 5 represented a departure from traditional color schemes, introducing a rich blend of "Army Olive," "Cargo Khaki," and vibrant pops of "Solar Orange." It was one of the first non-original colorways to hit the shelves. This departure from convention signaled a new era for the Air Jordan line, one where creativity and bold experimentation took center stage.

Fast forward to the present day, and the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Olive" is back, ready to make its mark once again. This time around, the classic silhouette receives a modern update courtesy of premium materials and meticulous attention to detail.

The colorway remains as timeless as ever, with "Army Olive" and "Cargo Khaki" dominating the upper, complemented by eye-catching accents of "Solar Orange." The signature midsoles, vented panels, and iconic "Metallic Silver" 3M tongues pay homage to the original design, ensuring that this iteration stays true to its roots. Elsewhere, lace locks and icy translucent outsoles imbue the look with a fresh sense of style.

Will you be looking to grab this pair of hoops history? The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Olive” will be available on Saturday, March 2nd, in-store and online at DTLR.com in full-family sizing.

Jordan Brand’s affinity for “Lucky Green” sneakers is not a secret. Last year, the sportswear powerhouse released three different “Lucky Green” Air Jordans, including the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, Air Jordan 2 Retro, and Air Jordan 3 Retro.

Continuity would suggest that the Air Jordan 4 Retro would be next in line for a “Lucky Green” makeover, but that’s not the case. It appears that the Air Jordan 5 Retro will be the next model to grace the green hue.

Slated to hit shelves later this month, the women’s Air Jordan 5 Retro “Lucky Green” has a premium white leather base with matching TPU mesh windows and eyestays. The tongues, uppermost eyestays, and embroidered Jumpman logos on the heels are done in black, adding contrast to the design.

The star of the show, the titular “Lucky Green” tone, is laced throughout, coloring the sockliners, the tongues’ Jumpman emblems, the “23” insignias on the heels, and the foam midsole units. The look is capped off with icy, semi-translucent rubber outsoles.

Don’t sleep – the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Lucky Green” will be available in-store and online at DTLR.com on Wednesday, February 28th, in women’s sizes.

The sneaker game ebbs and flows, sometimes without rhyme or reason – and that’s especially true of Jordans. One day, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is the talk of the town, and the next, it’s the Air Jordan 4. The Air Jordan 5 Retro is a model that’s been underappreciated as of late, but Jordan Brand will be looking to change that with its latest take on the ‘90s hoops classic.

Dubbed the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Midnight Navy," this upcoming sneaker boasts a striking color scheme that blends classic and contemporary elements. Its upper is primarily drenched in a deep "Midnight Navy" hue. The midfoot panels and toeboxes feature a textured canvas material, while the mudguards and heel panels are crafted from premium suede, providing a rich, luxurious feel.

You'll find the Jumpman logos embroidered on the tongues and heels of the sneakers, while the side panel windows and lower tongues feature smoky, semi-translucent TPU mesh.

Beneath the upper, you'll find white foam midsole units with visible Air cushioning in the heels. Icy, semi-translucent rubber outsoles tie it all together.

Need a pair? The Air Jordan 5 Retro "Midnight Navy" is scheduled to hit the shelves Friday, November 10th in-store and online via DTLR.com. The sneaker will be available in full-family sizing.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, Jordan Brand comes up with a sneaker that proves you haven’t. Case in point, the upcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro “Plaid” has an out-there, fall-ready design that's impossible to ignore.

The standout feature of the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Plaid" is its patchwork plaid upper. The shoe's design is a thoughtful blend of various plaid patterns, creating a visually striking collage. You'll find swaths of red tartan plaid on the toeboxes and heel panels, black-and-white buffalo plaid on the side panels, and tan plaid on the mudguards and ankle collars.

To add an extra pop of color and flair, the sneakers come with bright "Total Orange" laces that cut through the plaid patterns. The iconic Jumpman branding on the tongues and "shark teeth" midsole accents are also done in “Total Orange,” further enhancing the overall aesthetic.

While the upper is undoubtedly the star of the show, the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Plaid" also features black foam midsole units with visible Air cushioning and icy, semi-translucent rubber outsoles.

Want a pair? Mark your calendars for Friday, October 20th – that’s when these sneakers will be available on DTLR.com and DTLR stores in kids' sizes.

Jordan Brand’s “Craft” series is one that took many people by surprise this year. The collection of retro releases is known for its use of muted colors and premium materials. So far, we’ve seen the Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 4 receive “Craft” treatments, and later this month, the Air Jordan 5 is set to follow suit.

Due to land in mid-May, the upcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro SE “Craft” features a “Light Orewood Brown” upper. The tonal base is highlighted by bright “Safety Orange” Jumpman logos embroidered on the tongues. That same tone is used for the tongues’ backings.

This release features white foam midsole units with visible Air windows housed in the heels. Signature shark-teeth accents come in a splattered “Flat Pewter” color to match the sockliners. Icy, semi-translucent rubber outsole units tie the concept together.

The Air Jordan 5 is back in a brand-new colorway. This upcoming “University Blue” take pays homage to The University of North Carolina – Michael Jordan's alma mater – with a striking blue color scheme straight out of Chapel Hill.

The Air Jordan 5 was first released in 1990, designed by Tinker Hatfield, who was also responsible for the iconic Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4. The shoe features a unique design inspired by World War II fighter planes, with a suede upper, TPU lace locks, and a semi-translucent rubber outsole.

This "University Blue" colorway uses a vibrant shade of blue that pays homage to Jordan’s Tar Heels. The upper is done in baby-blue suede, while Jumpman-branded tongues come in reflective 3M. Down below, the sneaker features black foam midsoles, which house visible Air units in the heels. The heels are accented with Team Jordan jock tags in place of the typical Jumpman embroidery. Clear rubber outsoles complete the look, adding a touch of retro style to the shoe.

Looking to secure a pair? The Air Jordan 5 Retro “University Blue” is set to release on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on March 4th in men’s sizes. The retail price is set at $225.

Player-exclusive sneakers are just that: sneakers that are exclusive to specific athletes. Because of their rarity, these PEs are often regarded as grails among avid collectors. Jordan Brand knows this. That’s why over the past few years, the sportswear powerhouse has been releasing versions of these exclusive pairs, sans player or team branding.

Last year, Jordan Brand released a “University Blue” Air Jordan 13 that called to mind NBA star Chris Paul’s Air Jordan 13 PEs from his time with the New Orleans Hornets. Now, in 2023, Jordan plans to drop a sneaker inspired by another one of the point guard’s player-exclusive pairs.

The upcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro “Aqua” is a riff on Paul’s Air Jordan 5s. Outfitted with a Hornets-inspired color scheme, this pair features a black nubuck upper with semi-translucent mesh overlays on the quarter panels and lower tongues. The upper is accented with “Aqua”-colored Jumpman embroidery on the tongues and heels – the same tone is used for the tongue’s lining. Speaking of tongues, this pair features 3M reflective ones.

Moving towards the sole, you’ll come across blacked-out foam midsoles, which feature the model’s signature spiky accents in a speckled “Taxi” tone. Visible Air units provide cushion to the heels, while the outsoles are done in semi-translucent “Aqua”-colored rubber.

Looking to get your hands on a pair? The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Aqua” will be available on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on April 8th in full-family sizing.

Ever wonder what it’d be like to walk on Mars? Well, if the name of Jordan Brand’s latest Air Jordan 5 Retro is any indication, you’ll find out soon enough. Dubbed “Dunk on Mars,” this new take on the MJ’s fifth signature model is set to touch down later this month in women’s sizing.

This new colorway is done in premium suede, which has been given an extraterrestrial “Martian Sunrise” finish. Tonal “23” embroidery lands on the sneaker’s lateral heels, while black Jumpman emblems brand the backside. From there, milky TPU mesh accents dress the quarter-panel windows and lower tongues – that same semi-translucent finish is used for the lace locks. Reflective tongues with embroidered Jumpman logos round out the upper’s design.

The upper sits atop black foam midsole units that feature the silhouette’s signature spiky pattern. Visible Air units provide additional cushioning, while milky, semi-translucent rubber outsoles provide traction.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Dunk on Mars” is set to launch on DTLR.com and DTLR stores on January 14th in women’s sizing. Retail is set at $200.

When it comes to Air Jordan Retros, original colorways are almost always preferred – how could they not be? The cool factor that comes from seeing Michael Jordan wear a pair of OG Air Jordans on the court is rarely (if ever) matched, even by the high-profile collaborations we’ve been seeing of late. But what happens when an original color scheme of a beloved model makes its way onto a silhouette that has no ties to said blocking? It looks like we’re about to find out.

The similarities between the forthcoming Air Jordan 5 “Dark Concord” and the original Air Jordan 11 colorway go beyond the appointed moniker. This release will feature a white leather upper and black foam midsoles, which mimic the “Concord” Air Jordan 11’s black patent leather mudguards.

Like the OG, this new release uses its namesake sparingly. The grape flavor dresses the midsole’s shark teeth, sockliners, and Jumpman embroidery at the tongues and the heels. In another nod to the original, the side-panel mesh netting and rubber outsoles are done in an icy, semi-translucent rubber.

Looking to grab a pair? Head over to DTLR.com or your nearest DTLR store to purchase the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Dark Concord” on August 6th. They will be available in full-family sizing.
