Though not affiliated with the “Dune” series in any capacity, the upcoming Air Jordan 13 Retro “Dune Red” does bear a color scheme that would fit right in on Arrakis. The sneaker features dimpled textile overlays in the eye-catching "Dune Red" tone, which contrasts against a crisp white synthetic leather upper. From there, "Terra Blush" microfiber underlays provide a subtle yet stylish touch.

This forthcoming colorway stays true to the Air Jordan 13’s 1998 origins. One of the most iconic features, the holographic green eye, remains intact, paying homage to Michael Jordan's "Black Cat" alter ego. The paw-inspired outsole is another key design feature that connects the Air Jordan 13 to Michael Jordan's legacy. The outsole's unique structure provides excellent grip and support, reminiscent of a cat's paw, symbolizing agility and stealth – qualities that MJ was known for on the court.

Made famous by Michael Jordan during his sixth championship season, the Air Jordan 13 holds a special place in the hearts of basketball fans and sneaker enthusiasts alike. Its sleek silhouette and innovative features made it an instant classic when it debuted in 1997. And later this month, Jordan Brand is bringing back this beloved silhouette with a modern twist that stays true to its roots.

Dubbed the Air Jordan 13 Retro "Blue Grey," this colorway boasts a premium white tumbled leather upper and "Blue Grey" synthetic suede underlays, giving the shoe a luxurious look and feel. The contrasting materials add depth and texture to the design, while subtle details like quilted overlays and holographic cat-eye emblems pay homage to the original silhouette.

Down below, the midsole units are done in black foam and “Blue Grey” suede, while hits of "Yellow Ochre" add a vibrant pop of color to the rubber outsoles. The same yellow hue colors the embroidered Jumpman logos on the padded leather tongues.

With its distinct design and heritage rooted in Michael Jordan's illustrious hoops career, the Air Jordan 13 has garnered a dedicated following since its initial release in 1997. This year, Jordan Brand is celebrating 25 years of the Air Jordan 13, and what better way to commemorate this milestone than with a "Wheat" rerelease?

Originally released in 2004, this colorway boasts a dimpled full-grain white leather upper, while synthetic "Wheat" suede gives the shoe a distinct, autumn-ready appearance. Green cat's eye emblems on the heels pay homage to Michael Jordan's slick "Black Cat" alter ego. This nod to MJ's fierce on-court persona adds an extra layer of character to the shoe.

Down below, the panther paw-inspired outsole, a signature element of the Air Jordan 13, continues to make a bold statement. Not only does it contribute to the shoe's unique style, but it also provides excellent traction on and off the court.

Dropping Soon: Air Jordan 13 Retro “Wolf Grey”

Aside from this year’s “Playoffs” and “Black Flint” releases, the Air Jordan 13 Retro has been quiet for most of 2023. And that’s a shame since the ‘90s basketball silhouette is a fan-favorite amongst die-hard Jordan collectors and wearers. But luckily, there’s a new colorway coming down the pipeline, and it’s slated to arrive later this month.

Dubbed the “Wolf Grey” Air Jordan 13 Retro, this upcoming iteration dons a tumbled white leather upper, which covers most of the sneaker. From there, soft suede is underlaid on the quarter panels, heels, and ankle collars in the titular tone. The two-toned look is broken up by bright “True Red” Jumpman logos on the tongues and “Jordan” spellout tags at the base of the laces. Holographic cat-eye emblems are displayed on the lateral heels, adding an OG touch to the new colorway.

The sneaker features white foam midsole units with “Wolf Grey” suede accents. Those midsole units are capped with “True Red” rubber outsoles, completing the colorway.
