We took this bold, beautiful Bordeaux/Sail colorway and complemented it with our continued contemporary-whimsical theme. Our goal with fusing "quaint fairytale" feminine style with sneaker culture, like most modern designers and artists, is to create intentional clothing that subverts the presupposed notions of beauty and sexuality. Not to become too socially-conscious on you, but it is important to demonstrate great style with constraints of traditional standards of beauty. It takes a certain kind of je ne sais quoi to make us all feel cooler in a tutu and some Retro 3s. The Air Jordan 3 'Bordeaux' color way stems from the color burgundy. The French refer to its name like the shade of red after the wine region, Bordeaux. With its richness in history, taste and color, the Retro 3 pushes the fashion-forward look of the silhouette even further.
