Now introducing the exclusive New Balance 247 "The Collective" from VILLA. Artwork meets Footwork in this creative sneaker that centers around community artists.

The Story

We are beyond thrilled to reveal an ingenious concept that we designed alongside New Balance-- New Balance 247 "The Collective." In development for the overarching story behind this design, we were inspired by all the various elements it takes to make inspiring work. From murals to live art, every brushstroke is a single element that collectively transitions into a beautiful masterpiece. Just like large corporations or small mom and pop shops, no one works alone.Inspired by artistic collaboration, we drew influence from the idea of a group of artists working together to create a single piece of artwork.

Behold! Our Creative Ambassador, Ron English, oversees the release of this art-inspired sneaker.

The Design

This 247 silhouette was recreated from the standards of the Classic, the Suede and the Luxe. These materials help to shape the overall vision for the shoe's details. This motivation is made clear through the sneaker’s blend of pastel tones on the upper and speckled rubber sole. Furthering the motif, the removable insoles take cues from color swatches.

Our wonderful mastermind behind "The Collective" was inspired by street art and talented artists around the local Philadelphia areas when the concept came to mind. Her love for clean, minimalistic features mixed with artistic vibes is nothing short of amazing when it comes to this design. She hales from the University of the Arts as a Graphic design major.
